Chalk Paint

Everywhere I look in blogland these days, I see projects painted with chalk paint.  I'd love to give it a try, but the price is a little higher than I want to pay for a "try out"!  So I've entered my name in a few giveaways, but no luck so far.  I found another giveaway today and entered to try again.  Click the link if your interested in Molly Susan Strong's giveaway.  If not just take a peek around her blog, it's worth it!

If I won, I'd have to do some considering to decide which of the wonderful colors I'd use first!

  1. Hi, I have been to Estero, I live in Orlando now. I would love to try the chalk paint also...but way out of my price range. Maybe it will come down over time. Of course they are selling it like hot cakes at this price. I guess we can just keep entering giveaways and hope to win!

  2. I was just up in Orlando, with a van load of teenagers, to take them to Aquatica! We had a great day and I really enjoyed spending the time with them. I'd love to win the chalk paint to try out, maybe one of these days!

  3. Thanks for stopping by and leaving a sweet comment! It's only 48 degrees here this morning and I'm enjoying hot tea with milk right now!! I appreciate you sharing your method with me so much! We do make it your way some times, too :)

I used the concentrate recipe when my oldest daughter got married and I did all the cooking for her reception. I made 15 gallons of concentrate 2 months ahead and froze them. Worked great for the reception and tasted like it had just been made! :) Now there's just me and 2 kids here (1 of whom doesn't like tea!). I was often throwing out 1/2 a pitcher or more of icky sour tea that no one drank! That's why I went back to using the concentrate... the brewing is already done and I can make 1 glass for just me or a whole gallon when I have a houseful of family or guests again :)

    Have a blessed week!

  4. I hear you. I would love to try it also but 1st you have the price tag then the shipping! I'm getting closer though, a client of mine said she ordered it and used it and it was worth the money spent. So maybe......

  5. It is pricey, but I'm loving the look : o ) I also ordered some milk paint, quite a bit cheaper, and I'm going to give that a try on a few pieces I have.

  6. I am the same way would love to get some but to have to add on shipping is just too pricey I am going to try this weekend to make my own!

I'd love to hear your encouraging comments!
